Azerbaijani Students Secure Six Medals at International Programming Competition

Baku: Azerbaijani students achieved impressive results at the 10th 'Info1Cup' programming competition, held in Romania, with the support of Azercell. The event attracted 189 students from 16 countries, and the Azerbaijani participants joined online, winning a total of six medals: one gold, three silver, and two bronze.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the gold medal was awarded to Fateh Ahmadzade, a 10th-grade student at the Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Silver medals were earned by Omar Alimammedzade from the Trkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) Baku Turkish High School, alongside Elay Verdiyev and Akbar Ahmadov from the Physics, Mathematics and Informatics-Oriented Lyceum. Bronze medals went to Atilla Mustafa of the Trkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) Baku Turkish High School and Merd Jafarzade from the Sumgayit Natural Sciences Gymnasium.

Since 2017, Azercell Telecom has been instrumental in preparing Azerbaijani students for international informatics Olympiads. Through this ongoing initiative, students from various age groups and regions across the country have achieved substantial success in notable international competitions, amassing a total of 114 medals to date.
