Baku: Azerbaijani students achieved significant success at the 10th 'Info1Cup' programming competition, securing six medals in a field of 189 students from 16 countries. With support from Azercell, the students participated online and brought home 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the gold medal was claimed by Fateh Ahmadzade, a 10th-grade student from the Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Silver medalists included Omar Alimammedzade from the Trkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) Baku Turkish High School, along with Elay Verdiyev and Akbar Ahmadov from the Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Biased Lyceum. Bronze medals were awarded to Atilla Mustafa from the TDV Baku Turkish High School and Merd Jafarzade from the Sumgayit Natural Sciences Gymnasium.
Since 2017, Azercell Telecom has supported Azerbaijani students in preparing for international informatics Olympiads, contributing to the nation's achievements in global competitions. This initiative has led to Azerbaijani students earning a total of 114 medals, showcasing their talent and dedication on the international stage.
