Baku:The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Baku saw 13 Azerbaijani swimmers competing in eight events on its second day, with notable successes for the home team.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Egor Maynitskiy and Anastasia Boborykina set new national records for Azerbaijan. Maynitskiy achieved a time of 203.69 in the 200m individual medley, while Boborykina completed the 100m breaststroke in 115.32.
In addition to setting a national record, Maynitskiy also improved his personal best in the 50m breaststroke. Other Azerbaijani swimmers who set personal bests include Ramal Sadigli in the 100m freestyle, as well as Amin Orujlu and Farhad Shirmammadli in the 1,500m freestyle.
