According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this victory marks the national team's second consecutive triumph in the tournament campaign, following their 3:1 opening-match win over Portugal. Group C features intense competition among six nations: Azerbaijan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Romania. The group stage matches in Baku will run through August 28.
