Azerbaijani Wrestlers Shine with Seven Medals at World Championships

Bratislava: Two Azerbaijani female wrestlers, Gunay Gurbanova (57kg) and Ruzanna Mammadova (59kg), achieved a remarkable feat at the U20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, by bagging silver medals for the country. This achievement highlights the strength and determination of Azerbaijan's wrestling team on the global stage.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan's medal tally at the World Championships has now reached seven. Earlier in the competition, Ayhan Javadov (60kg) secured gold in Greco-Roman wrestling, while Javidan Nehmatov (77kg) earned a silver medal. Furthermore, Emin Javadli (55kg), Tural Ahmadov (63kg), and Elmin Aliyev (82kg) contributed to the country's success by winning bronze medals.
