Paris: The 2026 Global Education Monitoring Report, presented at a high-level event at UNESCO headquarters, highlights Azerbaijan's advancements in preschool education. The report, focusing on accessibility and equity in education, is part of a three-part series titled 'Countdown to 2030,' as announced by the Ministry of Science and Education.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the report assesses countries' progress in education with a particular emphasis on accessibility and equity. It analyzes key factors influencing these outcomes and aims to contribute to discussions on the post-2030 education agenda. The report provides indicators of accessibility and equity across various educational levels, including preschool, primary, secondary, and higher education, over the past 25 years, linking these results to broader research.

In this framework, the report recognizes Azerbaijan's achievements in preschool education as exemplary. It notes that within five years, Azerbaijan increased the enrollment rate of five-year-old children in school preparation groups from 25 percent to 92 percent. This significant progress is attributed to legislative reforms, efforts in teacher training, and curriculum development in the country.

The presentation ceremony was attended by more than 30 education ministers, heads of international organizations, and education experts.
