Azerbaijan’s ANAMA Uncovers 145 Landmines and 417 UXOs in Recent Operations

Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has announced the latest results of their operations in the liberated territories for the week of August 18 to August 24, 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a total of 124 anti-personnel mines, 21 anti-tank mines, and 417 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) were discovered across various regions including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan.

The operations led to the clearing of 1459.4 hectares of land from mines and unexploded ordnance, enhancing the safety and potential for development in these territories. The findings and clearance efforts are part of ANAMA’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the security and rehabilitation of the liberated areas.
