Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has revealed that a total of 428 landmines and 1,078 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) were discovered in the liberated territories during the month of February.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, ANAMA’s operations took place across several regions, including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. The breakdown of the findings includes 305 anti-personnel mines and 123 anti-tank mines.
Furthermore, a total of 2,862.5 hectares of land were successfully cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, marking significant progress in ensuring the safety and security of these areas.
