Baku: Azerbaijan will be represented at the 28th Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), scheduled to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from September 7 to 19, as disclosed by Azerpost LLC to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a preparatory event for the congress was recently held in Baku. During this event, Azerpost LLC was represented by Isi Mustafayev, Acting Chairman of the Board, along with board member Elgun Rasulov.

It was officially noted that Azerbaijan has submitted its candidacy for the UPU’s Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council for the term 2026-2029. The congress will consider Azerbaijan’s candidacy for both the organization’s Council of Administration and the Postal Operations Council.
