Samarkand:A delegation from Azerbaijan's Constitutional Court, led by Chairman Farhad Abdullayev, attended the 7th Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions AACC) in Uzbekistan on October 1-2. The Congress addressed themes of constitutional justice in the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event commenced with a message from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Congress participants. The sessions explored the Association's activities, its growth, and partnerships with international organizations in constitutional justice, alongside discussions on the draft Samarkand Declaration.
Key discussions at the Congress revolved around constitutional justice in the digital and AI age, focusing on judicial independence, human rights, and the rule of law. Participants also examined the opportunities, legal boundaries, and safeguards associated with digital technologies and AI in constitutional review.
Farhad Abdullayev contributed with a presentation on employing AI as an analytical tool in drafting judicial acts, including decisions by the Constitutional Court.
