Riyadh: The UNAOC Group of Friends High-Level Meeting was held on December 14 as part of the 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Riyadh. Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Karimli addressed the gathering, focusing on Azerbaijan’s historical commitment to fostering an atmosphere of tolerance.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Karimli emphasized the significance of promoting intercultural dialogue, safeguarding multicultural values, and employing cultural diplomacy to enhance international cooperation. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s successful hosting of the event, describing UNAOC as a key international platform for encouraging global dialogue and mutual understanding.

The minister also highlighted Azerbaijan’s initiatives aimed at promoting interfaith dialogue, noting the country’s cooperative efforts with UNAOC to advance this cause.
