Baku: The current account balance (CAB) surplus for Azerbaijan is projected to be between $2.8 billion and $3 billion in 2026, and between $2.7 billion and $2.8 billion in 2027. This was announced by Central Bank of Azerbaijan Governor Taleh Kazimov during a press conference focused on the interest rate decision.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Governor Kazimov also outlined projections for the prices of Azerbaijani oil and gas. The price of oil is expected to be $64 per barrel for both 2026 and 2027. Meanwhile, the price of gas per 1,000 cubic meters is forecast to be $269 for 2026 and $254 for 2027.
