BAKU — Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has directed military personnel to maintain high combat readiness and increase vigilance along the conditional border to counter any potential threats from revanchist forces.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov held a significant meeting at the Ministry of Defense on October 12. During the gathering, the Minister emphasized the importance of sustaining the troops’ combat capability at a consistently high level. He also issued specific instructions to boost alertness and prepare for preemptive actions against any likely provocations by revanchist groups, ensuring the military’s preparedness to respond swiftly and effectively.

The directive comes amid heightened tensions in the region, where the potential for conflict necessitates constant vigilance and readiness.
