Tbilisi: Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, is on a visit to Georgia from June 1. During this visit, Hasanov is set to engage in several high-level meetings and attend significant events in the Georgian capital.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov will meet with his Georgian counterpart, Irakli Chikovani. This meeting aims to strengthen defense ties and discuss strategic cooperation between the two neighboring countries. Additionally, Hasanov is scheduled to confer with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, among other officials, to further enhance diplomatic relations.
In addition to these meetings, the Defense Minister has plans to visit notable sites in Tbilisi. He will pay homage at the monument to the National Leader in Heydar Aliyev Park and visit the memorial on Heroes Square of Georgia. These visits underscore the cultural and historical connections shared by Azerbaijan and Georgia.
