Azerbaijan’s Digital Development Ministry Assigned New Responsibilities

Baku: New responsibilities have been assigned to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, APA reports. President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree outlining these new duties.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree mandates the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport to take measures for establishing, maintaining, and developing the Maritime and Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Management information systems. The Ministry is responsible for ensuring these systems are placed, maintained, and improved within the Government Cloud. Furthermore, the Ministry must facilitate the inclusion of these systems in the Unified Register of State Information Resources, Systems and Electronic Services, as well as the State Register of Personal Data Information Systems.

Additionally, the Ministry is tasked with ensuring that data generated in the Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Management information system is transmitted to the relevant information system of the Ministry of Defense through the Electronic Government Information System.
