Azerbaijan’s Electronic Security Service Engages in Japan Security Analysis Conference 2026

Tokyo: Sanan Valizade, an employee of Azerbaijan's Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, participated in the international Japan Security Analysis Conference 2026 (JSAC 2026) held in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event was organized by the Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center (JPCERT/CC) and focused on modern cyber threat campaigns, activities of APT groups, malware analysis, and response mechanisms to cybersecurity incidents.

The conference featured demonstrations of real-world incidents involving phishing attacks, Man-in-the-Middle techniques, and the evolution of RAT and C2 infrastructures. Participants exchanged views on incident attribution, multi-cluster attack analysis, and the investigation of large-scale exploits.

During practical sessions, the event addressed enhancing skills in analyzing malicious emails and performing malware analysis through reverse engineering. The conference also underscored the importance of early detection capabilities and coordinated response mechanisms against global cyber threats.

Since 2025, Azerbaijan's Electronic Security Service has actively cooperated with the Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center.
