London: A delegation from Azerbaijan's State Examination Center, led by Chairperson Maleyka Abbaszade, conducted meetings with international organizations during a visit to London to discuss the adoption of Cambridge and ALTE standards.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation engaged in discussions with representatives from Cambridge University Press and Assessment, and the Secretariat of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE). The meetings focused on potential cooperation in various aspects of assessment, including strategic priorities, psychometrics, and the training of specialists in educational measurement and assessment. Additionally, discussions covered the development of AI-based test items and advanced professional development programs for management staff.
The meeting with ALTE representatives explored collaboration in language proficiency assessment. Discussions included improving the Azerbaijani language certification exam and its application within the civil service. Preliminary agreements were reached, outlining the framework for future cooperation and partnership between the Azerbaijan State Examination Center and these international entities.
