Azerbaijan’s External Public Debt Declines by 7.5%

Baku: Azerbaijan's external public debt decreased to 4 billion 689.3 million US dollars as of April 1, 2026, the State Statistical Committee said, APA-Economics reports. It marks a significant reduction in the country's external public debt.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this decrease represents a 7.5% decline compared to the same period last year. The reduction in debt is seen as a positive development for Azerbaijan's economy, reflecting improvements in fiscal management.
