BAKU—First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, participated in a special event organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on August 26, dedicated to children in need of special attention and the children of martyrs.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event was attended by children from various care institutions, including orphanages, the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Down Syndrome, and a boarding school with intensive training. The celebration, held at "Dalga Beach" on the Caspian Sea coast, featured a range of activities tailored for the children, such as swimming, dancing, painting, and games. Mehriban Aliyeva, who also serves as the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice-President of the Foundation, interacted closely with the children. They discussed the event, took photographs, and participated in drawing activities, during which the children presented their artwork as gifts to Mehriban Aliyeva.
Furthermore, the celebration included an exhibition of handicrafts made by the children from orphanages and boarding schools. Mehriban Aliyeva also took the opportunity to meet with children of martyrs and those celebrating their birthdays, extending personal congratulations. The event concluded with each child receiving a gift from the Foundation, ensuring it was a memorable day for all attendees.
