CIS Parliamentary Assembly Forms Mission to Observe Upcoming Azerbaijani Elections

BAKU — The Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS PA) has officially formed its observation mission for the upcoming snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, scheduled for September 1.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the mission will comprise 19 members and be headed by Andrey Yatskin, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation. The formation of this team underscores the CIS PA's ongoing commitment to ensuring transparent and fair electoral processes within its member states.

This initiative marks a critical step in international electoral observation, aiming to bolster the integrity of the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan by providing comprehensive assessments and reports based on the observations of its appointed members.
