Azerbaijan’s Fruit and Vegetable Exports Surpass $600 Million in Nine Months

Baku: Azerbaijan earned more than $600 million from fruit and vegetable exports in the first nine months of 2025. From January to September, 574.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 602.531 million US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, based on calculations from the State Customs Committee’s report, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 31.4% or 143.7 million dollars compared to the same period last year. The volume of exports rose by 30.8% or 135.2 thousand tons. In the first nine months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 439.2 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 458.8 million US dollars.

During the reporting period, the main exported fruits and vegetables were tomatoes worth 157.2 million dollars (144 thousand tons), hazelnuts worth 100.4 million dollars (13.5 thousand tons), apples worth 50.2 million dollars (71.4 thousand tons), persimmons worth 34.1 million dollars (47.7 thousand tons), potatoes worth 28.2 million dollars (70.9 thousand tons), and pomegranates worth 7.2 million dollars (8 thousand tons).

From January to September of the current year, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports was 3.24%, while their share in non-oil exports was 22.74%.
