Azerbaijan’s Fruit and Vegetable Exports Surpass $900 Million in 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan's fruit and vegetable exports reached a significant milestone in 2025, generating over 901 million US dollars, according to the report from the State Customs Committee as cited by APA-Economics. This achievement marks a substantial increase in both the value and volume of exports compared to the previous year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the value of exported fruits and vegetables rose by 27.4%, amounting to an additional 193.7 million dollars. The volume also saw a notable rise, increasing by 23.2% or 159.7 thousand tons. In 2024, Azerbaijan had exported 686.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables valued at 707 million 795 thousand US dollars.

The leading products in Azerbaijan's fruit and vegetable export portfolio during the reporting period included tomatoes, which generated 192.5 million dollars from 172.9 thousand tons. Hazelnuts followed with exports worth 170.7 million dollars from 18.9 thousand tons. Dates contributed 144.2 million dollars from 187.6 thousand tons, while apples accounted for 75.1 million dollars from 106.4 thousand tons. Pomegranates and potatoes also featured prominently, bringing in 35.3 million dollars from 35.9 thousand tons and 28.4 million dollars from 71.4 thousand tons, respectively.

Last year, fruits and vegetables constituted 3.6% of Azerbaijan's total exports, while their share in non-oil exports was 24.85%. This highlights the growing importance of the agricultural sector in the country's economy and its expanding role in international trade.
