Baku: Azerbaijan imported gold worth 5,041.6 million US dollars between January and November this year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this significant expenditure on gold imports has had a notable impact on the country's foreign trade balance.
In the same period, excluding gold imports, Azerbaijan's positive foreign trade balance was 7,254.5 million US dollars. The total volume of imports, excluding gold, amounted to 16,146.7 million US dollars, marking a 0.5% increase compared to the previous year.
In the non-oil and gas sector, Azerbaijan witnessed a 7.3% increase in commodity exports from January to November 2025, totaling 3,317.0 million US dollars. This growth highlights the country's ongoing efforts to diversify its export portfolio beyond oil and gas.
