Baku: Azerbaijan's legislative body, the Milli Majlis, has approved new regulations concerning remote work arrangements. The new provisions, which are part of proposed amendments to the Labor Code, stipulate that additional terms of employment for remote work will be established through mutual agreement in an employment contract.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law defines remote work as the execution of job functions outside of the employer's premises or designated workplaces. This can occur at any location suitable for performing work or providing services, utilizing tools that facilitate remote work, such as electronic, software, technical, and telecommunications means.

The proposed amendments were discussed in today's session of the Milli Majlis and subsequently put to a vote. The draft law was adopted in its third reading, marking a significant step in formalizing remote work practices in Azerbaijan.
