Baku: The ‘Government Cloud’ (G-cloud) will be relocated to two newly constructed Data Centers, APA-Economics reports. Thus, in line with increasing digitalization demands, ‘AzInTelecom’ LLC has started the construction of two new data centers as of this year. The data center located in Absheron is planned to be completed in 2027, while the one to be located in Hajigabul is expected to be finalized in 2029. After these data centers become operational, the relocation of the ‘Government Cloud’ to these centers is anticipated. Both data centers, which will become the largest in the region, will also serve as National Data Centers.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these developments mark a significant step in Azerbaijan’s digital infrastructure expansion. The establishment of these data centers is envisioned to bolster the nation’s capacity to manage and store governmental data efficiently. The strategic locations of Absheron and Hajigabul have been selected to optimize operational efficiency and resource distribution across the country. The new facilities are expected to enhance the security and reliability of governmental digital services, aligning with Azerbaijan’s broader goals of modernization and technological advancement.
