Baku: Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan saw a significant increase, reaching 501 million dollars in the first half of this year, marking a 4.2-fold rise compared to the same period last year, announced Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov. This development was highlighted during the 21st meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, mutual trade turnover between the two countries increased by 50% in 2024, reaching 470 million dollars. The energy minister pointed out the positive dynamics in transport cooperation, particularly the increase in transit shipments. He also expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in developing the Middle Corridor/Trans-Caspian route and explore new opportunities, such as the potential opening of the Zangezur Corridor.
