Baku: Azerbaijan imported local products worth $60.9 million from Georgia in the period between January and May this year, as reported by the National Statistics Office of Georgia, APA's local bureau confirms.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the exports of Georgian products to Azerbaijan saw a rise of 10.2% compared to the same period in the previous year. Azerbaijan secured the eighth position among the top ten export destinations for Georgia's domestic products, following China, Russia, Trkiye, Bulgaria, Togo, Armenia, and Switzerland, with a share of 3.2%.
During the first five months of the year, the total value of Georgia's exports of domestic products saw a significant increase of 66.1% year-on-year, reaching $1.93 billion. The top ten domestically produced goods exported by Georgia included petroleum and petroleum oils, precious metal ores and concentrates, ferroalloys, copper ores and concentrates, fresh grape wine, natural or artificial mineral and carbonated waters without added sugar, mineral and carbonated waters with added sugar, nitrogen fertilizers, alcoholic beverages, and gold in unprocessed, semi-processed, or powder form.
