Azerbaijan’s Independence and National Salvation Days Celebrated in Stuttgart

Stuttgart: Independence Day and June 15 - National Salvation Day of Azerbaijan were celebrated in Stuttgart, Germany, in an event co-organized by the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora and Gunay Mirzayeva. Mirzayeva is the head of the Azerbaijan House in Stuttgart and a member of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Fuad Muradov, Azerbaijan's Chairman of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that Independence Day and National Salvation Day reflect the Azerbaijani people's desire for freedom, adherence to statehood traditions, and national unity. Muradov attributed Azerbaijan's development and stability to the visionary policies of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Muradov also highlighted the historical connections between Germany and Azerbaijan, referencing the German colonies of Helenendorf and Annenfeld that once existed in Azerbaijan. He noted that Azerbaijan's multicultural traditions and long-standing tolerance have been enriched by this historical heritage.

The event featured additional speakers such as Altay Rustamli, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, Makbule Ko§ak Ka§ar, Consul General of Trkiye in Stuttgart, Francesco Macco, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Culture Center in Germany, and Professor Werner Str¶bele, Director of the Reutlingen Local History Museum.

The celebration concluded with an artistic program that included performances of works by Azerbaijani and international composers, directed by Stuttgart-based jazz performer Cemre Yilmaz.
