Baku: Azerbaijan’s information and communications sector witnessed a notable increase in revenues, exceeding 7% growth during the first five months of the year. In January through May, enterprises within the sector provided services valued at 1,416.9 million manats, as reported by the State Statistical Committee to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 7.3% increase in real terms compared to the same period last year. The data further reveals that 74.3% of the total services were consumed by the population. Additionally, the mobile telephone communication field contributed significantly to the sector’s revenues, accounting for 34.6% or 490.3 million manats of the total revenue from services.
