Lachin: An event titled ‘The Voice of Victory – Lachin 2025,’ dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, was held in Lachin district. The event was supported by the Office of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service of the district.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event gathered representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President, the District Restoration, Construction, and Management Service, ‘Lachin Improvement Service’ JSC, heads of local law enforcement agencies, families of martyrs, participants of the Patriotic War, veterans, public figures, and local residents. Held at the State Flag Square, the event began with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence for National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs.

Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President in Lachin district, addressed the opening ceremony, extending congratulations to the participants. He highlighted the historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day Patriotic War under the command of Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing its significance as a symbol of national unity and state power. Mammadov remarked on the respect shown by the Azerbaijani people for the martyrs, noting the pride in the nation’s flag now flying over liberated territories due to the soldiers’ heroism.

The event continued with speeches before transitioning to a tree-planting campaign on Heydar Aliyev Street. Participants included officials from various district services, law enforcement, residents, volunteers, and young people engaged in the ecological initiative.

In addition to the main event, a ‘Youth Victory Tournament’ was organized to foster a healthy lifestyle, patriotism, and the moral significance of Victory Day among the youth. The tournament featured hand-to-hand combat lessons led by Rasul Mammadov, an Honored Sports Master. Young athletes showcased their abilities in contests directed by Bahruz Chiragov of the ‘Mahammadli Lachin’ Sports Club, with winners receiving honorary diplomas and prizes.

The celebration is set to continue with a concert program in the evening, concluding with a fireworks display and DJ performance in the Seyrangah area of Lachin city.
