Azerbaijan’s Lankaran Flooding Prompts Evacuation of 22 Residents


Lankaran: Intense rainfall has led to flooding in the city of Lankaran and the surrounding villages of Girdani, Kosalar, and Shilevar, resulting in the evacuation of 22 people. The situation has been confirmed by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which reported the severe weather conditions affecting these areas.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed forces to manage the crisis. The teams are engaged in evacuating residents from the affected areas, draining accumulated water, and undertaking other essential safety measures to mitigate the impact of the flooding. These efforts are crucial as the Ministry continues to address the needs of those impacted by the floodwaters.
