Baku: In the first four months of this year, Azerbaijan's mining industry achieved a production value of 12.5 billion manats.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, the production of marketable crude oil, a primary product of the sector, reached 8.8 million tons, and marketable natural gas production totaled 13 billion cubic meters.
Metal ores extracted during the reporting period were valued at 398.9 million manats. Of this, copper concentrate production amounted to 9,013.2 tons, marking a 13.4-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, 1,304.8 kilograms of gold and 826 kilograms of silver were produced during this period.
