Baku: In January-August of this year, the total value of production in Azerbaijan’s mining industry amounted to 28,827.9 million manats, which represents a 1.7% decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee, 26,292.4 million manats of this total figure were attributed to crude oil and natural gas extraction, marking a 1.6% decline from the previous year.
Production volume in the mining industry showed varied trends. During the reporting period, the sector’s primary product, marketable oil production, amounted to 20,629.4 thousand tons, while marketable natural gas production reached 29,046.4 million cubic meters. It is noted that marketable oil production decreased by 4.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, whereas marketable gas production increased by 2.8%.
Main indicators for crude oil and natural gas production have been highlighted, reflecting the dynamic changes within Azerbaijan’s mining sector.
