Azerbaijan’s Monetary Base Reaches 22 Billion Manats

Baku: Azerbaijan's monetary base saw a notable increase, reaching 22 billion 545.3 million manats as of February 1, 2026.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this development is reported by APA-Economics, citing data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The monetary base experienced a monthly growth of 0.33%, which translates to an increase of 75.1 million manats. On an annual basis, the monetary base expanded by 12%, equivalent to an addition of 2 billion 421.2 million manats.

The monetary base is a critical economic measure that includes cash in circulation and bank reserves, which consist of both free and required reserves held by commercial banks.
