London: Last week, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Defence Agil Gurbanov, and the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Socio-Economic issues Khalid Ahadov paid a visit to London to discuss deepening cooperation in the defence sector, UK Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Lord Vernon Coaker, said in a post on X, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Lord Vernon Coaker met with the Azerbaijani delegation. Meanwhile, the UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld, wrote on X that new steps are being taken to develop the UK-Azerbaijan strategic partnership. The ambassador noted, 'It is an honour to witness the most senior Azerbaijani defence delegation to visit the UK in the last 10 years. Azerbaijan is a valued defence and security partner, and we are proud to see this relationship growing.'
Note that Lord Vernon Coaker, the UK Minister of State for Defence, visited Azerbaijan in December last year.
