Azerbaijan’s Multi-Vector Policy Explored at Hungarian University

Budapest: A panel discussion on Azerbaijan's multi-vector foreign policy was organized at Hungary's Ludovika University of Public Service. The event opened with remarks by Liliana Smiech, the university's Director General for International Affairs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the discussion titled 'The South Caucasus Beyond Blocs: Azerbaijan's Multi-Vector Foreign Policy', Vasif Huseynov, Head of Department at the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), outlined the advantages of Azerbaijan's multi-vector foreign policy and its stable international standing. He explained that Azerbaijan manages a balanced and pragmatic approach towards various global power centers, which strengthens its sovereignty, economic growth, and geopolitical significance.

Vasif Huseynov also shared insights into the developments concerning the South Caucasus peace process, as well as the present status and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to transform the region from a conflict zone into one characterized by peace, stability, and cooperation.

The panel also touched upon the priority areas identified during Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), highlighting the organization's growing institutional capacity and rising international role.

In addition, at a separate seminar for Polish students, Vasif Huseynov discussed the current state and future outlook of Azerbaijan-European Union relations. He also noted Azerbaijan's increasing role as a key transit and logistics hub in the Eurasian region.
