Montreux:Azerbaijan's rich musical heritage was recently celebrated at the Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey festival as the Swiss city marked its 80th anniversary.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the festival featured around 200 artists led by the State Symphony Orchestra. They performed a variety of works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, known as the father of Azerbaijani classical music, along with opera, mugham, jazz, and national dance.

The diverse program highlighted various aspects of Azerbaijan's musical identity, blending classical and contemporary styles. For the performers, it was an opportunity to present Azerbaijan's cultural richness at one of the world's renowned music venues.
