New York:A panel discussion titled "From Baku to Belem and T¼rkiye: Sustaining Climate Cooperation in an Era of Global Fragmentation" took place as part of the 37th High-Level Meeting of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of continuing the climate agenda from Baku to Belem and T¼rkiye, amidst challenges posed by geopolitical fragmentation. Key topics included adaptation, climate finance, regional cooperation, and energy security.

The event was moderated by Eka Tkeshelashvili, former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, and featured notable participants such as former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, former President of Serbia Boris Tadic, and Eldor Aripov, Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.

A significant point raised during the panel was the need to maintain climate diplomacy and to transform commitments into tangible projects and investments across the regions involved.
