Azerbaijan’s National Confederation of Entrepreneurs and Pakistan’s Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forge New Economic Ties

Baku: The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Pakistan's Punjab province have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral economic and trade relations. The agreement aims to strengthen partnerships between entrepreneurs from both nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the signing ceremony was conducted online and saw the participation of ASK President Mammad Musayev and Chairman of the Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shahzad Hassan. During the meeting, Musayev highlighted the progress in economic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, noting that significant momentum has been achieved since 2022, marking a new phase of development.

Shahzad Hassan pointed out the practical importance of recent meetings held in Baku, along with market research initiatives undertaken there. He recalled visits to major wholesale and retail trade centers in Baku, "Sadarak" and "Meyvali," where the delegation collected and analyzed rice samples from the local market.

The MoU outlines plans for regular exchanges of information and experience between the parties, the organization of joint business forums and specialized exhibitions, and institutional support for fostering direct connections between small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.
