Baku: Non-oil and gas exports from Azerbaijan to Ukraine saw a significant increase of more than 80% during the first nine months of 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 374 million 547.6 thousand US dollars, marking a growth of 9.2% or 31.7 million US dollars compared to the same period last year.
During this period, Azerbaijan’s exports to Ukraine rose by 23.6%, reaching 168 million 971 thousand dollars. In contrast, exports from Ukraine to Azerbaijan experienced a slight decrease of 0.3%, totaling 205.6 million dollars. Notably, non-oil products exported from Azerbaijan to Ukraine were valued at 147 million 315 thousand US dollars, reflecting an 83.6% increase from the previous year.
Among the non-oil exports were fruits and vegetables, including potatoes, tomatoes, pears, apricots, peaches, hazelnuts, grapes, dates, and watermelons. Additionally, fruit juices, tea, mineral or chemical nitrogen fertilizers, heavy distillates, and other products were part of the export portfolio.
It should be highlighted that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine during January-September 2025 represented 1.1% of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover. In the first nine months of the year, Azerbaijan’s overall trade turnover reached 35 billion 375.5 million US dollars, with non-oil exports accounting for 2 billion 649.2 million US dollars.
