Baku: Azerbaijan exported nearly 8 million tons of oil to more than 10 countries this year. In the first four months, Azerbaijan exported 4,766,277.87 tons of oil valued at 2 billion 531 million 469.1 thousand US dollars to Italy, making it the top destination for Azerbaijan's oil exports, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Customs Committee.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Romania was the second-largest importer of Azerbaijani oil, with 461,317.25 tons valued at 247 million 844.98 thousand dollars being exported during the same period. The Czech Republic followed as the third-largest, importing 433,064.35 tons of oil worth 245 million 721.48 thousand dollars.

The report highlights that these figures represent the value of oil exports that completed customs procedures during the January-April period. Overall, Azerbaijan exported 7,923,086.69 tons of oil with a total value of 4 billion 365 million 297.57 thousand US dollars to over 10 countries during this time frame.
