Baku: Azerbaijan exported $7.5 billion worth of oil to more than 10 countries this year. In January-July, Azerbaijan exported 7,473,413.94 tons of oil valued at USD 4,560,688.09 thousand to Italy, the State Customs Committee announced, APA-Economics reports. Consequently, Italy emerged as the top destination for Azerbaijan's oil exports during this period.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Czech Republic ranked second in terms of value among the countries receiving Azerbaijani oil exports. The nation imported 802,369.65 tons of oil valued at USD 562,115.58 thousand. Romania followed closely, securing the third position with imports totaling 821,311.27 tons of oil worth USD 522,201.19 thousand.
The data reflects the value of exported oil that underwent customs clearance by the relevant authorities during the reporting period. Overall, 12,722,590.97 tons of oil, worth USD 8,032,903.55 thousand, were exported to over ten countries, highlighting Azerbaijan's extensive oil trade network in the first seven months of the year. The ranking of countries is based on the value of oil exports compiled by APA-Economics.
