Azerbaijan’s President Congratulates Ukraine on 35th Independence Anniversary

Baku: Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. In his message, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes and emphasized the strong ties and rich traditions linking Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the current level of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations, highlighting the established political dialogue, high-level reciprocal visits, and collaboration in economic and humanitarian fields as key elements of their strategic partnership. He specifically noted the longstanding cooperation in the energy sector as a significant aspect of their bilateral relations.

President Aliyev also recalled the positive outcomes of President Zelenskyy's working visit to Azerbaijan in April and their meeting, underlining the importance of regular interactions and mutual support on territorial integrity and sovereignty issues. These factors, he stated, are instrumental in fortifying interstate relations.

The Azerbaijani leader pointed out the active dialogue at the highest level as a conducive platform for further deepening cooperation in numerous fields, including trade, economy, humanitarian endeavors, agriculture, and investment. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to continuing its humanitarian support to the people of Ukraine.

President Aliyev concluded his message by expressing confidence in the continued joint efforts to strengthen the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine for the mutual benefit of their peoples. He also extended his wishes for health, happiness, peace, tranquility, and prosperity to President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine.
