Azerbaijan’s President Sends Warm Wishes to Brazil on Independence Day


BAKU — President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended heartfelt congratulations to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in honor of Brazil’s Independence Day, according to Azeri-Press News Agency. In a formal letter, President Aliyev conveyed his wishes for continued peace and prosperity to Brazil and highlighted the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two nations.



The letter, released on the occasion of September 7, underscores the importance Azerbaijan places on its relationship with Brazil. President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the progress in ties over recent years and looked forward to further cooperation at the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, set to be hosted in Baku. He also emphasized the value of collaborative efforts with Brazil and the United Arab Emirates within the Troika mechanism to keep global warming below 1.5°C.



Moreover, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes to President Lula da Silva for Brazil’s hosting of the G20 Summit, marking it as an opportunity for success on the international stage. Personal wishes for good health, happiness, and success in all future endeavors were also extended to President Lula da Silva on this significant day.
