Tashkent: Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a working visit to Tashkent. Asadov conveyed greetings from Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev to Mirziyoyev, who reciprocated with his own greetings for Aliyev.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting highlighted the successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Both leaders emphasized the strategic partnership and alliance between their countries. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, economy, investment, transport and logistics, energy, and humanitarian affairs, along with other areas of mutual interest.
