Kazan:An Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev participated in the 24th Meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO) member states.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kamran Aliyev addressed the meeting on the topic of 'Protecting Traditional Family Values and Preventing the Spread of Illegal Content Among Minors.' He emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to family and child protection through its constitutional and legislative measures. He also discussed the role of prosecutorial authorities in safeguarding children's rights and preventing their involvement in criminal activities.

During the visit, the event coincided with the 108th anniversary of Azerbaijan's Prosecutor's Office and Prosecutors' Day. Azerbaijani prosecutors and veterans received official congratulations on this occasion.

Kamran Aliyev also held a meeting with Tajikistan's Prosecutor General Habibullo Vohidzoda to deliberate on expanding legal cooperation. They agreed to develop and sign a new cooperation program. Additionally, he met with Kyrgyzstan's Prosecutor General Malik Bekturganov, discussing the importance of ongoing bilateral and multilateral engagements. The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in learning from Azerbaijan's experience in digitalizing prosecutorial activities and combating cybercrime.

Furthermore, Kamran Aliyev met Aleksandr Bazhenov, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of CIS Member States. They discussed Azerbaijan's active role in the Council and the necessity of enhancing cooperation.

Kamran Aliyev also engaged in discussions with his counterparts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, T¼rkiye, and other countries on topics of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Ilgar Safarov, Senior Aide to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, gave a lecture on 'Digital Transformation and Professional Responsibility in the Prosecutor's Office' at the Kazan Law Institute of the University of the Prosecutor's Office of Russia. He shared Azerbaijan's experience and took part in panel discussions.

The delegation from Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office has concluded its official visit to Russia.
