Baku: President Ilham Aliyev announced at the Azerbaijan-Latvia Business Forum that Azerbaijan aims to achieve 8 gigawatts of solar, wind, and hydro power by 2032. The President emphasized that this plan is based on signed, legally binding contracts and is seen as a realistic goal.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the strategic shift from using natural gas for electricity production towards renewables. This transition is expected to conserve several billion cubic meters of natural gas, benefiting international markets where demand is high.
