Azerbaijan’s Smartphone Imports Exceed 1 Million Units in 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan imported over 1 million smartphones in the first ten months of 2025, totaling 1,081,332 units valued at USD 344 million 206.6 thousand, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this marks a 7.3% decrease in quantity, equating to 84.9 thousand fewer units compared to the same period last year. However, the value of imports rose by 5.5%, or USD 17.9 million. In the corresponding period of 2024, Azerbaijan imported 1,166,285 smartphones worth USD 326 million 243.6 thousand.

The average import price per smartphone increased to 541 manats during this period, compared to 475.5 manats last year. The majority of smartphones were imported from China, with 863,707 units, followed by Vietnam with 205,315 units, India with 11,439 units, Indonesia with 606 units, and Korea with 230 units. The import prices varied by country, with smartphones from China costing 517 manats each, from Vietnam 619 manats, from India 989 manats, from Indonesia 472 manats, and from Korea 204 manats.

Additionally, Azerbaijan exported 1,428 smartphones valued at USD 256.2 thousand during the reporting period. The exported units mainly went to Georgia and the Czech Republic, with 803 and 625 units respectively, at an average price of 305 manats.
