Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry Reports Significant Gas and Condensate Production from Shah Deniz Field

Baku: Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy has revealed substantial production figures from the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field. Since the commencement of production, 263.2 billion cubic meters of gas have been extracted from the site.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 52.3 million tons of condensate have also been produced from the field over the reporting period. The Ministry highlighted the 19-year milestone since the start of production at Shah Deniz, emphasizing the field’s significant impact on Azerbaijan’s energy sector.

“The successful launch of Shah Deniz Stage 1 has opened new doors for Azerbaijani gas to enter world markets, strengthened our country’s energy security, and raised economic development to a new stage,” the Ministry’s statement noted. The long-term operations at Shah Deniz continue to play a vital role in bolstering Azerbaijan’s position in the global energy market.
