Moldova: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Anar Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, attended the High-Level Conference on European Social Rights in Moldova. Addressing the conference session titled 'The Future of Work: Tackling New Frontiers', Anar Bayramov described the European Social Charter as the cornerstone of social rights protection, noting that the rapid pace and magnitude of current changes call for its defence, modernization, and reinforcement.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the development of human capital lies at the heart of the successful socio-economic policies implemented in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He also touched upon the country's digital achievements in the social sector. Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan, having ratified 60 International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions-the most among CIS countries-has made notable progress in aligning its labor laws with international standards.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held numerous meetings, including with Elena ?®b®rna, General Director of Moldova's National Office of Social Insurance, and Dumitru P®slaru, Secretary General at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Moldova. During the meetings, the sides discussed future collaboration and the implementation of the DOST model in Moldova, one of the countries interested in the concept.
